A long perimeter is difficult to hold. Open land, a yard with several entrances, a part-built development where the fence gets cut in a different place each time – one officer at the gate cannot be at the far end of the site at the same time, and a group that has been moved off once already knows exactly where the weak point is.
A dog team changes that calculation, because scent and hearing cover ground that eyes and cameras do not, and because most people who would walk past a security officer will not walk past a dog.
Strikes Property Services Group supplies SIA-licensed, NASDU-qualified handlers with general purpose security dogs – and if an unauthorised encampment takes hold while our teams are on duty, we evict it free of charge.

Strikes Property Services Group is trusted by commercial landlords, local authorities, retailers, property managers and more to deter unauthorised entry.
Get in touchWe attend the site to assess the boundary, the access points and the history of any previous entry, and to confirm the site is suitable for a dog team – public access, neighbouring use and layout all bear on that.
We agree written instructions covering patrol routes, hours and escalation, and confirm the warning signage required at every entrance under the Guard Dogs Act 1975 is in place before a dog is deployed.
The handler and dog are deployed as a single licensed team and briefed on your site specifically, including where previous entry was made.
The team patrols the perimeter and interior on a varied pattern, detects and locates anyone on site, and manages the incident with the dog under the handler’s control at all times.
You receive written patrol logs and incident reports, and cover is reviewed as the site changes or as enforcement action becomes necessary.

Strikes Property Services Group is a leading property enforcement agency working across England and Wales, acting for landlords, landowners, local authorities, retailers, managing agents and solicitors on possession, recovery and unauthorised occupation.
Dog teams are deployed where the risk is unauthorised occupation rather than opportunistic theft – open land, cleared sites, and developments that have already been targeted. Every handler holds an individual SIA licence and a NASDU qualification, and every team works within the strict legal framework set by the Guard Dogs Act 1975, which requires the dog to remain under the handler’s control and warning notices to be displayed at each entrance. Where entry happens in spite of the cover in place, Andrew McDermott (our in-house Authorised High Court Enforcement Officer) and our enforcement team carry out the removal, safeguarding your rights throughout and keeping the matter with one instructed firm.
Our combination of security and enforcement services leads to our promise: if an unauthorised encampment establishes itself on your site while our teams are on duty, we will evict it free of charge under our guaranteed traveller evictions.
We are an NRLA Recognised Supplier, a Propertymark Industry Supplier and a member of the High Court Enforcement Officers Association.
