The Situation
Strikes Property Services Group was instructed to attend a commercial yard in London to locate a number of vehicles and a potential cabin, attach the required notices and document the condition of the items on site.
The instruction involved several vehicles, some of which were reported to be in poor condition. The task required the enforcement agent to identify the listed vehicles, record their locations and photograph the items to provide an accurate record of the visit.
The client was a regular user of Strikes Property Services and was aware of our service for Abandoned Vehicles.
Our Approach
Our enforcement agent attended the site at 6:20am and began locating the vehicles listed in the instruction. Five of the listed vehicles were located in a car park, along with one potential cabin in the form of a green box trailer without wheels.
The vehicles showed signs of damage and poor condition, with flat tyres on various wheels. They were also boxed in by other vehicles, making access and identification more difficult. Only one vehicle had a vehicle identification number (VIN) visible on the windscreen.
Abandoned Vehicle Notices and a Torts Notice were attached to the located items. The notices recorded relevant details, including the position, make, model, colour, registration and condition of each vehicle.
The agent also searched the surrounding area for the missing vehicle and cabin but was unable to locate them nearby. Photographs were taken of each located vehicle and the potential cabin, alongside wider photographs showing the positions of other vehicles remaining on site.
Outcome
The attendance lasted approximately 40 minutes, from 6:20am until 7:00am. Five listed vehicles and one potential cabin were located, notices were attached and photographic evidence was collected to document their condition and positions.
One listed vehicle and the cabin could not be located within the surrounding area. The report records the work completed during the visit and the findings available to inform any subsequent action.
This case demonstrates how Strikes Property Services Group supports clients with abandoned vehicle enforcement by identifying located items, recording their condition, attaching notices and providing clear photographic evidence.
