The Situation
The landowner of a site in Coventry required immediate support to remove a traveller encampment that had established itself in the area. The client needed a compliant, lawful route to remove the travellers and clear the site.
Strikes Property Services Group was instructed to attend the site and assist with the enforcement action. With the site left untidy and the risk of further disruption, the priority was to serve the court order and oversee the site’s clearance.
After searching for traveller eviction services in Coventry, the client contacted Strikes Property Services Group.
Our Approach
Strikes Property Services Group enforcement agents arrived at the site around 2:00pm and met with a representative from the local council. Strikes spoke to multiple male travellers present on the site, explaining that the process to obtain a court order had been initiated.
Initially, the travellers stated that they would leave early in the evening, but Strikes agents pushed for an earlier departure, though they faced resistance. The situation was monitored from a distance, and Strikes agents received and printed the court order, which was handed to the travellers.
At approximately 6:30pm, the first caravan began to pack up, and by 7:00pm, Strikes Property Services Group was joined by council representatives. By then, half of the caravans had already hitched up.
The representative was satisfied with the progress and left the site. The final travellers departed by 7:50pm.
Outcome
The site was cleared by the evening, but it was left in a messy state with a lot of rubbish scattered around, which was photographed for documentation. Strikes Property Services Group remained on-site until 8:10pm, ensuring the site was fully vacated and secured before leaving.
