The Situation
A commercial landlord in South London contacted Strikes Property Services after discovering a failure in the property’s primary security systems. The external shutter was non-responsive, and there were concerns that the unit’s security had been bypassed.
Given the suspicious circumstances surrounding the shutter malfunction, the client need a solution to regain entry, repair any damage, and restore full security functionality. Following a search for professional locksmith and re-entry prevention services in London, the client engaged Strikes Property Services.
Our Approach
Strikes enforcement agents attended the site in the late morning on the specified date in early 2026. An initial external inspection revealed that the cover panel for the shutter’s manual override had been forcibly removed – indicating a probable unauthorised entry. The team proceeded to manually lift the shutter to permit access for the landlord’s representative.
Upon entering the unit, we confirmed the premises had been cleared of its contents. A closer inspection of the primary entrance door revealed the hook lock mechanism had been manipulated, likely with a crowbar, to force entry after the shutter was bypassed.
The scene was documented with photographic and video evidence for the client’s records.
Our team immediately commenced remedial works. The damaged lock and locking mechanism were removed, refurbished, and correctly refitted. A new, secondary lock was installed in the door for enhanced security. The shutter’s power unit was located, and it was confirmed that the electricity supply had been restored.
After consulting with our technical lead, the power unit was recoded and a new remote fob was programmed to restore full remote operation.
Outcome
The commercial retail unit was successfully accessed and fully re-secured by the early afternoon of the same day.
All damaged security mechanisms were professionally repaired or replaced, and the remote shutter operation was restored to full working order. The property was left secure, with Strikes Property Services holding the new keys and the shutter remote pending further instruction from the client.
