The Situation
Strikes Property Services Group was contacted by a Huddersfield college to assist with the removal of a homeless encampment from their sports field. The client required a swift, compliant response to prevent further occupation and ensure the site remained secure, especially given the sensitive location and surrounding trees.
Upon arrival, Strikes Property Services Group enforcement agents located a large encampment within the tree line, housing two homeless individuals. The client was concerned about the welfare of the trespassers and the impact on the site, so our agents coordinated an amicable yet firm approach to regain control of the property.
After searching for rough sleeper removal services in Huddersfield, the client contacted Strikes Property Services Group.
Our Approach
Strikes Property Service Group enforcement agents arrived on-site at 7:20am, met with the client representative and received the gate key to access the site. The agents located the encampment and had a conversation with the two occupants, who agreed to vacate by lunchtime due to the weather and time of day.
In the meantime, we searched the rest of the site and located an abandoned tent in a separate area, which was photographed and moved.
At approximately 12:00pm, the two homeless individuals began packing up their belongings, and they left the site shortly after. The shelter was flattened and photographed, and Strikes coordinated with the client to ensure the site was fully cleared.
The client representative, returned to the site, received the keys back from our agents, and the team left by 12:30pm.
Outcome
The site was cleared successfully by midday, with the homeless encampment removed and all tents dismantled. Strikes Property Services Group ensured the premises were secured and restored to the client.
